When asked what it is they want from their online business, many people answer “just an extra 500 dollars a month”

And to tell the truth, I am not entirely sure I understand why people decide this is the figure that they really want. They could have said anything at all.

  • 1000 Dollars
  • 5000 Dollars
  • 10000 Dollars
  • or even 50000 Dollars

But if I was going to guess why they say that particular number, I would say that they think it is a believable number for them.

It is not like they couldn’t choose any figure they wanted for a goal, its that most people cannot see themselves as really different than who they are now.

I might also think that by saying they want this amount and no more, they kind of think that nobody will notice if this little bit of the world’s money supply gets diverted to their pocket.

But mostly, I think its because they are afraid to ask for what they really want. It is almost as if the world was telling them, “Well, you can have a little bit more, but make sure you don’t ask for a lot more because then you are going to get into trouble.”

Here is some interesting news.

If you really want something, then ask for that. Don’t ask for things you really do not want. because if you get them, you are still not going to be happy.

When I am talking about asking for things here, I don’t mean in a tooth fairy or Santa Claus kind of way. I am talking about asking through your actions.

Want 500 dollars extra a month. Then take the action that will get you that much.

Want 1000 dollars more, take that action.

Or at least be willing to take that kind of action, if you don’t know what to do to get the money just yet.

But being willing to take the kind of action that will bring you what you really want, that is an idea that a lot of people do not seem to have.

And for you, that one simple truth right there, means even less competition for you to worry about as an action taking person.
