One of the best things that I have ever done is use a bunch of different keyword tools. I started off with a subscription to Nichebot, which uses the WordTracker tool to bring back results. That did me right for quite a while and I was able to find some keywords that worked for me that other people did not have.

This was back before looking in Google for keywords was such a big deal.

I also used a couple of tools that worked off the old Overture database. They were kind of cool because they had that brainstorming feature in case you were stuck for ideas.

Nowadays I use Micro Niche Finder, which I think is a great tool. And the support and updates that come with it are quite amazing. This tool accesses the Google keyword tool and when the Big G makes a change in their setup, MNF is always right on top of it.

But there is one tool that I love because it brings me keywords that almost nobody else uses to make sites with, but that people search for. That sounds so undramatic, what I mean is that I use a keyword tool that brings me tons of keywords for my sites, lovely longtail and LSI keywords that I use to get my sites ranked and full of traffic.

And almost nobody else does this. Heh heh heh.
